Easter, Ramadan, and Passover fall in the same calendar month more or less every 33 years. This year, for example, April will see the followers of the three major monotheistic religions – Christianity, Islam, and Judaism – celebrate the main holy days, all determined by the moon.
This is an extraordinarily symbolic alignment for the Mediterranean, an area permeated by the cultures and traditions of the three Abrahamic religions.
This is not, in itself, particularly special, since Easter and Passover are never far apart, but it is a beautiful opportunity for the followers of the three main faiths to remember each other’s relationship while fasting, praying, eating, practicing all those sets of rituals handed down over centuries and centuries full of history.
With this representation of the power of ecumenism, of the cultural union between peoples and communities that the conjunction represents, we at Seasons wish you feasts of peace and serenity. Special days spent with the people you love and why not in one of our locations.
